Our MicroPOISE™ desktop security hologram application machines are being used in document security projects in more than sixty countries with their use spanning almost ten years. Security Foiling also offers a bespoke product design service for security hologram application projects.
The most popular machine in our range includes our innovative SENTRY security access control system. SENTRY allows the use of MicroPOISE to be carefully controlled at all times, helping to prevent organised internal fraud or theft of valuable documents.
The MicroPOISE is a desktop hot stamping foil application machine specifically designed for the document security systems market. Its unique design allows anyone to use the machine safely to print a high quality security feature (hologram, OVD, Kinegram, Trustseal, Datafoil, Securigrafix and Photografix etc.) with minimal training and/or disruption to existing tasks. Variable thickness documents up to five millimetres in thickness can be hand fed without any adjustment to machine settings.
The increased use of plastic cards has resulted in the ever-increasing use of holographic security to assist in the prevention of fraud. The MicroPOISE automatic plastic card feeder is now widely used in bureau applications where batch hologram application can be processed quickly and at low cost under the same strict security controls as other card manufacturing processes. MicroPOISE is fast to set up and therefore suits the common need to re-issue lost or stolen ID cards quickly and cost effectively as and when required.
Securigrafix is unique to Security Foiling Limited. Where hologram costs are prohibitive or very low volumes are required then the Securigrafix security die technology provides a lower cost bespoke security feature. The Securigrafix security feature technology is found in the die rather than the hot stamping foil which brings the added benefit of being able to change foil colours and styles without incurring further design or printing plate costs. The Securigrafix security die solution is widely utilised in low volume applications such as cheques, tax vouchers, ID cards, certificates and tickets.
Designed to process A4 documents, the MicroPOISE automatic sheet feeder hologram press is perfect for applying security features to University Certificates, Cheques, Valuation Certificates and Bonds etc. The unique sheet transport system allows the application of sixteen holograms in one pass of the document through the hologram press. Processing sheet fed tickets, cards or labels is now very quick and cost effective. Documents can be personalised and processed in-house without the need for using sub-contractors and the associated security risk of non-secure transport.
Counterfeit Security: DatafoilDatafoil is a unique counterfeit security feature to protect variable data against undetectable alteration. Counterfeits discovered on cheques and ID documents are commonly found to have had the data changed in some way to misrepresent identity or the value of the document. A semi-transparent security hot stamping foil is combined with our Datafoil die technology to make any attempt at alteration much more obvious.
Continuous paper documents such as cheques, bankers drafts and tickets are still widely used. The application of transparent hot stamping foils to protect variable data against alteration is one of the most common applications for the MicroPOISE machine (Datafoil). The MicroPOISE automatic sprocket feeder has a user-friendly programmable paper movement system that allows the user to store each ‘job’ to reduce repeated set-up time.
Holograms Printing: MultiPOISEOur new product for 2008, the MultiPOISE hologram applicator utilises up to four hologram printing heads to apply security features such as Holograms, OVD’s, Trustseal, Kinegram, Datafoil, Securigrafix, Photografix etc. Fully programmable multi-stamp positions to suit many print layouts of paper and plastic cards as well as the option to include a ‘reel-to-reel’ or sprocket feed system. Our holograms printing machine is quick to set up and easy to maintain

ARE YOU CONTRIBUTING ? There are no Government statistics on the cost of
document forgery in the UK, maybe its because the fraudulent documents are so
convincing that no-one Government statistics however, show that fraud is one of
the fastest reported areas of crime, with an estimated £1.3 billion being
spirited away from the UK economy each year.
Fraudsters are becoming more
audacious and inventive in the pursuit of their aims and are increasingly aided
by technological advances in colour copiers and desk-top scanners. Add to this
the fraudulent alteration of documents, such as the name of the payee on a
cheque and the extent of the problem becomes apparent.
Estimates of
cheque fraud alone in the UK currently run at around £300 million per annum.
Despite the legal responsibility of business many still make no provision to
protect sensitive information. Identity fraud has no specific legal definition
in the UK, but can involve someone stealing your personal or business
information to take over credit accounts, open new ones, take out a loan, access
bank accounts or commit other crimes, such as purchasing goods, in your name or
that of your company and at your expense.
No one involved in the issue or
use of security documents is safe from these threats as criminals are constantly
finding ways to exploit any weakness.
Foiling the fraudsters By actively
increasing the difficulty of copying documentation, your company becomes less
attractive to the fraudsters than those organisations who do
nothing.
Security Foiling Limited (SFL) is a company on the leading edge
of fraud prevention, developing cost-effective techniques to combat the growing
threat of counterfeit documentation with MicroPoise.
This product applies
additional security features to reduce the possibility of copying and
alteration, which not only makes documentation secure but also gives the
recipient confidence that their business is serious about confidentiality and
information protection.

FSA warns
business of fraud threat "Having been the target of criminals in recent times,
the major banks try to have strong defences in place. But there is no room for
complacency and criminals will seek to exploit vulnerable points where they can
find them. Firms should follow a preventative approach rather than reacting to a
situation once it has happened which can be costly and damaging to
reputation.
